This is an urgent call promoted by Enagás, Red Eléctrica Group, CLH, Iberdrola, BP, EIT InnoEnergy, Acciona, Capital Energy and DISA, which is being joined by more energy companies and other entities, to contribute to mitigating the economic and social impact of COVID-19 from the energy perspective and through innovation.

 

 

Through this initiative, and through its corporate venturing vehicles Enagás Emprende (Enagás), Exolum (CLH), Perseo (Iberdrola), BP Ventures (BP), EIT InnoEnergy, I’mnovation (Acciona), the technology company of Red Eléctrica, Capital Energy and DISA, financial support will be given to startups/scaleups that have innovative projects in the fields of environmental sustainability, mobility, social impact, digitalisation, telecommunications and 4.0 and that can contribute to mitigating the economic and social effects of COVID-19 in Spain.

Purpose

To contribute to the country’s economic and social recovery in the face of the crisis caused by the coronavirus pandemic, financing and/or supporting startups/scaleups with innovative projects so that they can implement them immediately.

Who is targeted at?

Aimed at startups/scaleups with innovative business solutions and/or projects with the possibility of starting up immediately and developing and implementing them within a deadline of one year, in the fields of environmental sustainability, mobility, social impact, digitalisation, telecommunications and 4.0. and which can contribute to mitigating the economic and social effects of COVID-19 in Spain

What we offer

All the support tools (pilot, commercialisation, etc.), financing (investment, loans, etc.) and acceleration of the promoting corporations for entrepreneurs and start-ups/scale-ups will be made available to the selected projects. These will be applied according to the specific needs expressed by the start-ups/scale-ups and the innovation models, programmes and policies of the promoting corporation.

  • Financing

    From investment to equity loans or convertible notes, depending on the specific needs of each project and the financing tools available to each corporation.

  • Innovative purchasing

    DFrom launching customers to start-up/scale-up customers, promoters will apply their quick purchasing tools to entrepreneurs.

  • Business development

    Commercial, business and networking channels available to projects that need this commercial support from the promoting corporations.

  • Product development

    Option to be beta-testers, industrial partners or co-developers of a product in those projects that need it.

  • Tools

    Training, mentoring, incubation, acceleration, communication, and others that the promoting corporations have available for fast and efficient development of the selected projects.

What does each startup/scaleup selected obtain?

Between 100.000 – 3.000.000 euros.

This is the average support per project (it could be less) that the corporations estimate they could give to each selected start-up/scale-up. The promoting corporations commit to support each of the projects presented, individually or jointly, according to their areas of interest, and to place their financing, support and acceleration tools at the service of the projects received. The financial and/or business support will be ad hoc for each project.
